ChipChop.io services and website are intended for use by individuals for the purpose of developing and managing their IoT devices. You may use ChipChop.io services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms of use.


In order to use the ChipChop.io services, you must create a user account (each service may require a separate account) by providing a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify ChipChop.io immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

1. This free account comes 'as-is' and without any warranties whatsoever.
2. Accounts that have no activity for 12 months are fully removed from the database and are considered unwanted. To keep your account active, a minimum is to have one device that sends at least a "heartbeat" ping on regular intervals, it can be any type of device but has to show that it's live and functioning. Your devices are effectively your account's pulse.
3. This type of account is for personal non-commercial use only. If you want to use this platform for commercial applications, submit a question in the forum.
4. This type of account is considered R&D and comes with extended resources. You are free to use it on any type of not-for-profit project including personal Home Automation projects.
5. Attempts to create multiple accounts will result in a full ban from the platform without notice. If you require more resources submit a question in the Forum.
6. Attempts at higher rate requests from your device than specified below may result in your account suspension (temporary or permanent). If you are a novice programmer try to use the ChipChop Arduino Library or ask for guidance in the forum.
7. Submitting a request for access is an automatic acceptance of all conditions specified in this policy

You may not use the ChipChop.io services to engage in any activity that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable. You may not use ChipChop.io website and services to transmit any viruses, worms, or other malicious code.
